How much of this was on purpose ? I can't even comprehend what I see... and then, you've had a much tougher job, you had to go trough the hassle of creating this... I think it's great. Colors are great. It actually reminds me of something I saw a decade or two ago... can't remember what though :lol:

Thanks for the comment :lol:
Really everything is just improvisation and experimenting of what works and what not, i got lucky on how the rendering of the clouds went so i could create these effects. I redid the rendering a million times over and over again. Everything is done with CMYK colors, the rest is filters and blending modes ^^. Anyway glad you like it :D

Didn't expect this to be so technical nor such detail, but THANK YOU for shading light on the backgrounds of this colorful wonder ! ;)

I'd highly recommend you try to replicate this at very high resolution and print it on large paper. The weird optical effect that it gives is just too awesome to not see in print. Really dig it.

Thanks lots, glad you dig it!

Do you have any recommendations on what DPI (300?) and Resolution (A3/A2?) i should replicate this piece? I don't have much knowledge about print media and I definitely don't know where to print it on that size, but I'll try and give it a shot, thanks! :D

At bare minimum it should be printed at 300 DPI. I'd just decide on a real size (like 11" x 15" or whatever) and then multiply that by 300. Some fine art printers can print stuff that's outrageously high-def (like 1200 DPI) but generally sticking to 300 will get you a nice, clear print.

I'd just look around for some local printers and bring in a nicely sized piece (like 7000 pixels by whatever) and they can find a good solution.

Oké thanks, i googled some standard poster sizes and this is what i found:

1" = 72px
1mm = 3px

United States standard poster sizes:

* One sheet, 27 inches by 41 inches (686x1040mm),
portrait format (this size is one inch longer than the modern One sheet)

* Display (aka Half-sheet), 22 inches by 28 inches (559x711mm),
landscape format

* Insert, size 14 inches by 36 inches (356x914mm),
portrait format

* Window Card, 14 inches by 22 inches (356x559mm),
portrait format

* Two sheet, 41 inches by 54 inches (1040x1370mm),
either landscape format or portrait format

* Three sheet, 41 inches by 81 inches (1040x2060mm),
portrait format

* Six sheet, 81 inches by 81 inches (2060x2060mm),
a square format, often printed in landscape format

* Twenty four sheet, 246 inches by 108 inches (6250x2740mm),
landscape format often called a billboard

Which one should I take?
